Hi, I’m André Quesnel — a Canadian and commercial video producer based in the Netherlands since 2014. I’ve been creating broadcast-quality video content professionally for 23 years, serving clients across Europe, North America, and beyond.
FROM PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE TO CREATIVE
1998-2001: Played professional hockey in the USA and Netherlands for three years. The Netherlands connection was established early.
2001-2004: After hockey ended, I started learning television production by volunteering at the local community television station. I enrolled in broadcast journalism school in Canada in 2002. Learning the craft properly from the ground up.
2004: Started Quesnel Media (age 27). First client: Sears Home Central. First project: promotional video + training video.
2007-2013: While building the business, I worked at Parliament of Canada (6 years) in four technical roles: Cameraman, CG Operator, Sound, and Video Editor. Also: CBC/Radio-Canada (national broadcaster, bilingual cameraman)
2014: Made the bold move. Left government employment. Closed Canadian operations. Moved to Netherlands. Went 100% entrepreneur.
2014-2026: Built successful business serving 30+ commercial clients. Delivered €2M+ in value. Zero failures. Still going strong after 12 years.

While building the commercial business, I also created a Video Series, showcasing stories from around the world. Exploring diverse cultures, hidden gems, adventures & exclusive interviews. In November 2020 I released the first documentary for the series, entitled Anonymous Reality (IMDB) and in January 2022 we started the NAO Podcast.
